1983: Graduated from Tongji University, Shanghai, majoring in Energy Engineering, with a Bachelor of Engineering degree.

1994–1997: Studied at the University of Tokyo, Japan. Obtained a Master of Education degree in 1997.

2003–2005: Graduated from the University of Tokyo, Japan, with a Doctoral degree.
