Supplementary Provisions for the Comprehensive Assessment of Graduate Students of the School of Public Economics and Management

Provisions concerning the “key courses” in the “key courses scores”:
1. “Key courses” for graduate students (including academic masters and professional degree masters) reference the three categories of courses of “degree public courses”, “degree foundation courses” and “professional required courses” specified in the curriculum form of various major fields in the “Training Plan of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics for Graduate Students of Various Majors” in Shanghai University of Finance and Economics Postgraduate Teaching Overview 2012.

Supplementary provisions concerning the social work score:
1. Supplementary provisions concerning bonus points for “Outstand Individuals at the City/University Level”:
Model Youth           1 point
Top Ten Female University Students       1 point
Excellent Student, Excellent Student Leader, Excellent League Member, Excellent League Leader  0.5 point
2.Supplementary provision concerning “student work”:
University/school postgraduate union president  1 point
University/school-level organization leader   0.5 point
Leaders of departments of the university/school postgraduate union  0.5 point
Members of the class committee        0.5 point

Supplementary provisions concerning research bonus points:
1. Supplementary provisions concerning bonus points for professional academic theses:

“EI core search theses, SSCI theses, A&HCI theses and SCI theses are generally calculated according to the national class-A standard; theses published overseas and EI non-core search theses are generally calculated according to core journal thesis standard” specified in the Implementation Measures of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics Graduate Students Comprehensive Assessment is now revised to “EI core search theses, SSCI theses, A&HCI theses and SCI theses are generally calculated according to the core journal thesis standard; no bonus points are granted for theses published overseas and EI non-core search theses”.
2. Notes on bonus points for research topics:
Independently submitted projects or leading researchers of projects are considered as publishing articles in public publications:
National-level projects are equivalent to national-level class A journals      10 points
Provincial/ministry-level projects are equivalent to national-level class B journals 5 points
University-level projects are equivalent to core journals  1 point
 (Present the project completion certificate to receive bonus points)
3. Notes on bonus points for “Investigation of a Thousand Villages”:
Only students that have completed the “Investigation of a Thousand Villages” , and submitted the complete investigation materials (materials that need to be submitted will be explained in the submission process) which pass the review of the school and the university can be granted bonus points.

The rule for bonus points are as follows:

  Complete and pass the review Recognition Award 3rd Prize 2nd Prize 1st Prize
First-time participants 1 1.5 2 2.5 3
Repeated participants 1.3 1.8 2.3 2.8 3

 (Recommend bonus points adjustment for graduate students)
Bonus points will be adjusted for students participating in groups, and the calculation formula is as follows:
bonus points*1.2/number of group members

Remarks:
1. Repeated participants refer to students who have participated in the investigation twice or more;
2. Winners are selected by the university, and bonus points are added based on the selection result.
