Personal Resume

Professor Wang Yin is an Associate Professor with tenure in the School of Public Administration at Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, a doctoral supervisor, and a PPP expert for the Asian Development Bank. She holds a Bachelor's degree in International Economic Law from Zhejiang University (2002), a Master's degree in Public Policy from the University of Southern California (2004), and a Ph.D. in Policy, Planning, and Development from the University of Southern California (2010). 


Professor Wang's research focuses on the development and application of New Public Management theory, particularly the use of Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) and privatization of public services in the fields of transportation and other infrastructure. Her current research projects include the application of PPP in the infrastructure sector, mechanisms of government policy innovation, and transportation policy and management.


She has previously taught at the University of Southern California and served as a project consultant for the California Department of Transportation in the United States. Her research papers have been published in internationally renowned SSCI and SCIE academic journals in the fields of public administration, project management, and transportation. Professor Wang was awarded the 9th Best Transportation Policy Article Award by the American Society for Public Administration (ASPA) in 2010. She has also led projects funded by the Shanghai Pujiang Talent Program and the National Natural Science Foundation of China’s Youth Science Fund.
